The Adult Choir performing during the Sunday Morning Worship Service. The choir also has special performances during the Easter Season, Homecoming Sunday and the Christmas Season.
The Adult Choir is open to anyone who likes to sing and be apart of this group that enjoys a wide variety of music styles and arrangements. There are no try outs and everyone is welcome to participant. The Adult Choir practices on Wednesday evenings in the Church Sanctuary. One of the special performances presented by the Adult Choir is the annual Christmas Cantata in early December. This special music program is always open to the community and is one of the high points leading up to the celebration of the birth of baby Jesus.
Hand Bells are another part of the special music at Sunset Drive UMC, the hand bell choir also practices on Wednesday evenings in the downstairs hand bell room. The church just recently had all the hand bells refurbished in 2006 to insure that future generations will enjoy their unique sound.
The Youth Choir is another group for the younger children and teenagers. In the past the Youth Choir has been called The Sunset Singers & The Mighty Messengers and is always open to any children who want to gain experience in singing and learn the basics of performing a variety of songs.
Summer Time at Sunset Drive UMC always brings an opportunity for members and anyone in the community to provide special music during Sunday worship services. During the summer months when the choirs and the hand bells take a break, the church becomes like an open stage with an open mic ready for those with a desire to show case their music skills and singing abilities.
